The Gathering of the Lost

Hachette NZ has announced that they will be publishing The Gathering of the Lost, the second instalment in the addictive historical fantasy series ‘The Wall of Night’ this April. Helen Lowe is a New Zealand writer with many strings to her bow:
She is currently the Ursula Bethell Writer in Residence at the University of Canterbury.
·        Helen has won numerous awards, and her first book in ‘The Wall of Night’ series, The Heir of Night, won the Sir Julius Vogel Award for Best Novel in 2011. She reviews books and interviews writers for Women on Air, Plains 96.9 FM, in Christchurch.
Her books are published in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. She also has translated editions in France and The Netherlands.
Despite her evident success, the past year has been challenging for Helen as she worked completing The Gathering of the Lost while residing in the ‘East Side’ of Christchurch. The book was completed in the midst of 10,000 plus earthquakes and major liquefaction – circumstances she admits she found difficult with a publishing deadline looming over her.
